Aromatherapy and Menopause Symptoms

Hello Everyone! Let’s face it, for anyone going through menopause, it’s a royal pain. If you haven’t yet, here’s what you can look forward to: Night Sweats, Mood Swings, Emotional Stress, Depression, Fatigue, Insomnia, Headaches, Irritability, Poor Memory. Though essential oils won’t and don’t prevent menopausal symptoms, it is a great way to improve your attitude and relax and benefit your overall health.
So let’s talk about some benefits of essential oils: They are anti-fungal, anti-viral, anti-macrobial, anti-parasitic, anti-infectious and anti-septic. And are known to be restorative, calming, revitalizing, comforting, soothing, relaxing, grounding, stimulating etc.
Here are a few ways that you can use essential oils and feel so much better:
• Add a few drops of your favorite essential oil into a warm bath and soak for about 15 minutes. Start off with a low dose of 5 drops and then add more if necessary.
• Use a Sugar or Salt Scrub or a Body Butter especially prepared with essential oils for dry skin. Your skin will quickly absorb the oils. Using essential oil blends can bring you tremendous satisfaction.
• Have a full body massage with an essential oil diluted by a carrier oil like, Jojoba, Coconut or Grape Seed etc.
A few oils that are known for helping menopausal symptoms are:
